As expected, SLeague.Com announced that the abandoned match between Woodlands & Tampines on 5-Sep would be awarded as a 2-0 win to Tampines.
Though it didn't explicitly mentioned if the 2 goals scored by Shariff Abdul Samat (56th min) & Noh Alam Shah (59th min) would still stand, I assume they would for now, base on the latest Top-Scorers list, which saw 1 goal credited to Samat's name.
In this case, Tampines has now overtaken Geylang into 3rd-place in the All-Time S.League Table & Shah would be the proud scorer of the 5800th goal in the S.League!!
Certainly some causes of celebration (?) for Tampines (having achieved all of its 3 objectives prior to this fixture), if not for the walk-out & the fact that it (according to its coach, Vorawan Chitavanich, :-) could have scored a few more that night.
It's not a baseless concern though, as the title could well be decided by GD, should any 2 of the 3 top teams finish level on points (currently SAFFC has +38, Home +28 & Tampines +29).
