2) Balestier has the exact same number of points as the number of games played.
3) Gombak is poised to overtake Tanjong Pagar into 7th-place next season.
4) Albirex just need 6 more points to overtake Jurong into 10th-place.
5) Super Reds finally have more wins than losses all-time.
6) Sengkang Punggol?? Same old same old...
7) DPMM: Better luck next season?

"*" : teams active in current season
"**": Brunei DPMM's results in 2009 expunged due to FIFA ban.

Highlights:
1. Etoile FC have already overtaken Paya Lebar after 2 games.
2. Beijing can do the same with a win in their next game.
3. Albirex is now just 5 points behind Jurong FC.
4. When the league resume on 8-March, we could see the 5th to 9th-placed teams all have the last digit of their points as zeroes (520 - 390 - 350 - 310 - 280), provided the following happen:
- First, neither Woodlands nor Sengkang qualify for the last four of 2010 League Cup, so that neither teams play in the 3rd-place match or the final on 7-Mar, and the Woodlands-Sengkang match on 8-Mar will still go ahead.
- Second, Woodlands draw the game on 8-Mar to bring their all-time points to exactly 520.
-That would be "Five-Stars-in-a-Chain" (“五星连珠”)!!

Will post the all-time table again during the remaining logical checkpoints of the season (whenever the league takes a break of more than a week):

17 Feb 2010: Etoile FC 2-2 Sengkang

Etoile were so close to a first loss, even though the hard-earned point against Sengkang allowed them to overtake Paya Lebar Punggol in the all-time table after just 2 games.

Tampines is now the only side with 100% record, which will be under severe threat when they meet SAFFC on 19-Feb. This match will also be the 3rd SLVC (S.League Virtual Championship) game of the season.

If the games on the same day (presumably kicked off at the same time) are sorted alphabatically by the full name (SAFFC would be "Singapore ...") of the hosting team, the updated list would then be:
2009: 2nd game (Geylang 3-1 Albirex)
2008: 1st (Super Reds 2-1 Woodlands)
2007: 1st (Home 5-1 Super Reds)
2006: 3rd (Geylang 1-0 Sengkang)
2005: 4th (Woodlands 4-1 Paya Lebar, Balestier 0-1 Young Lions was counted as the "3rd" game)
2004: 6th (Home 4-1 Tanjong Pagar)
2003: 1st (Jurong 1-0 Tanjong Pagar, Woodlands 0-1 Geylang was the "2nd" game)
2002: 1st (Geylang 3-0 Home, "2nd" game = Gombak 1-3 Sengkang)
2001: 8th (Sembawang 2-1 Tampines, "7th" game = Clementi 1-1 Sengkang)

2000: 1st (SAFFC 1-0 Tampines or Geylang 2-0 Balestier)
1999: 1st (SAFFC 6-1 Sengkang or Home 4-1 Woodlands)
1998: 3rd (SAFFC 3-1 Home)
1997: 4th (Tanjong Pagar 4-0 Jurong)
1996: 2nd (Geylang 3-0 Sembawang)
The first home win of 2010 may probably come when SAFFC take on BKFC at CCK on 11-Feb, the 10th game of the season. ("9th" game = Sengkang vs Gombak) Let's see...
So there you go, with both host teams won by the same score line, the home drought in 2010 have ended:

2010: 9th Game (Sengkang 2-1 Gombak)

S.League Neutrality Analysis with Games @ JBS

The following are the basic assumptions of my analysis:
1) Games at JBS shall end as 0-0 (since both teams have home advantage at a neutral venue)
2) Games at elsewhere shall end as 1-0 for the home teams (as home advantage equates to a goalfor the host)

'The balance of the force' Table of S.League 2010:

# Team------- P- W--D--L F--A Pts GD
1. YoongLions 33 17-0-16 17-16 51 +1
2. Gombak--- 33 13-10-10 13-10 49 +3

12.Geylang--- 33 10-7-16 10-16 38 -6

Highlights:
1. As expected, YL were benefited the most in this analysis, as they play 17 "true" home games (at JBS) this season, the most in the league.
2. Gombak should have had good reasons to dream of a first league title. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked out for them so far...
3. Just look at how disadvantaged Geylang are!! Out of their 16 "home" games this season, 6 of them will be at JBS, leaving only 10 "real" home game for them, the least in the league.

Analysis on the previous seasons to follow shortly...

Highlights:
1. The number of neutral games have been increasing steadily year after year.
2. Gombak's "positions" in the 4 most recent seasons (including 2010): 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd.
3. Surprisingly, even though YL enjoyed all the home ground advantage, they only topped the table twice in these 5 seasons.
