S.League Virtual Championship (SLVC) - Introduction
Imagine if the S.League Title was to be won in Boxing Style, i.e. the current holders only handover the title to the teams that beat them, who would be the current "reigning champions" in this case?
Current S.League 2007 Leader, Home United, is fittingly the present title holder, but could you imagine that the weaker teams such as Sembawang Rangers, Sinchi and even the woeful Korean Super Reds(!!) were once SLVC holders as well?!
Assumptions:
1)The championship began with the very first* game of the S.League between Balestier Central & Police.
2)The title playoff game between Geylang & SAFFC in 1996 was included in the sequence.
3)The holders retain the Championship in the event of draws.
4)The penalty shoot-outs in 2003 were considered as draws.
5)The latest names were used for teams that underwent name changes, e.g.: Balestier Khalsa for Balestier Central, Home United for Police, & Tanjong Pagar for Tiong Bahru.

USA: Major League Soccer: Unofficial MLS Club Champion
USA: United Soccer League First Division: Virtual Championship
*Note: The match "Balestier 1-2 Home" on 1996-04-20 was recognized as the very first game in S.League history based on the following sources:
